Emily's Bio
Emily believes that the pursuit of wellness should be enjoyable. She integrates the practices of yoga and Pilates with traditional strength and cardiovascular work to create programs that support her clients’ lives.
Emily has enjoyed her own pursuit of wellness since she was young, doing leg-lifts to her mom’s Jane Fonda tapes. Her passion for wellness grew while she was a student at Brown University, studying Human Biology and teaching at the university fitness center. After graduating from Brown, Emily completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Georgia, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Tias Little in Santa Fe, and the Stott Pilates Essential and Intermediate Mat Trainings. Emily is currently pursuing her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and plans to complete her Pilates Reformer training by the end of 2009.
Emily teaches at Canyon Ranch and Yogalenox. She spends the rest of her time volunteering at Kripalu, hiking with her puppy and fiancé, drinking Starbucks, and training clients privately. She is thrilled to pursue her dream business with Tom and Jeremy whom she believes fully personify the embody mission.
