Climbing for the Cure

Cancer is one of those scary things in life that we don’t like to think about, but the truth is almost all of us have, in some way, been affected by this horrible disease. It could be a family member, a friend, a coworker, or even we who have experienced this disease.

So what is a personal trainer doing talking about cancer? While I’m not a doctor or a nurse or a cancer researcher, I can actually help reduce your risk of developing up to 35% of all cancers by helping you achieve and maintain a healthy body weight through a proper diet and regular exercise.

The advice is simple:

  • Eat less red meat
  • Get active!

That being said, there is a lot to be done in finding a cure and providing support for people living with cancer. That is why the Embody Health Team is participating in the Big Climb to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease. Join our team as we climb the 69 flights, 1311 stairs of the Columbia Tower or donate and help cheer us on for a great cause.
